High resistance to dynamic and concentrate loads; Ideal for creating continuity between on-foot areas and by-car areas, using the same material. A floating or raised outdoor paving is an installation system in which the paving level is raised to create a cavity underneath. It uses a complex system comprising:
  • Pavers 2 cm thick or more;
  • High-strength fixed or adjustable pedestals;
  • Optional accessories to increase the structure’s safety.
  • Raised paving is particularly recommended and suitable for large, uniform outdoor surfaces, given its many benefits:
Raised indoor floors resting on metal structures and consisting of removable modules give the designer absolute freedom in installing systems and excellent performance in terms of sound absorbency, strength, durability, and ease of maintenance that has no rivals in traditional floors.
ADVANTAGES
  • The systems present in the gap can be inspected and modified: during renovation works, for example, cables and pipes can be replaced in the gap its versatility and ease of use make the S.K.I. raised floor a tool with an infinite number of applications, even in the most improbable and unusual settings.
  • The upper covering is made of fine porcelain paver.
  • The paver is then assembled onto the structural core, the composition of which will depend on the needs of the project.
  • The slab will then be slightly countersunk and this will facilitate the laying and removal of the raised floor considerably.
  • The use of the UNI edge, consisting of a soft polyurethane elastomer with high chemical stability and abrasion resistance, guarantees effective shock resistance and increases the airtightness and water tightness of the panel. This type of edge guarantees complete uniformity between the outer edges and the internal gaps.
RAISED FLOOR SYSTEM ACCESSORIES FOR ENHANCED SAFETY
If the paving is intended to take heavy loads or for commercial purposes and rises of over 20 cm in general, the application of additional safety systems is highly recommended to reduce the risk of injury in the event of tile failure.

SHOCK CONTROL® is a protective membrane for tiles. It is applied to the back of the tile to increase the mechanical strength of the finished paving. Its structure prevents slabs from collapsing.
METAL TRAY
Galvanized sheet steel tray with downturned edges on all four sizes, bent in half for increased strength in the underside of a 2 cm paver. The tray can support the full weight of a person, even if they jump on a broken tile, and no bending or sagging of the edge of the steel tray has been observed.
STRUCTURAL CORE
Several different types of structural cores are available to meet the needs of the project in which the raised floor is used:
  • Chipboard
  • Calcium sulfate, thickness 30 mm
  • Calcium sulfate, thickness 35 mm
  • S.K.E. coupled solution as a structural panel for indoor use in two available versions:
  • S.K.E. 15l
  • S.K.E. 20l
